About

My favorite way to introduce myself is in person.  We are planning several opportunities to do so, but I wanted to share a little bit about myself in case you can't make it.

If you've been to a girls Skyhawks basketball game in the last 4 years, then I'm sure you've seen me and my family.  Blue hair, face paint, Skyhawk wings, and the works.  I believe in going big when I commit to something.  While my children won't show up to council meeting with blue hair, I will bring that same level of commitment and enthusiasm as I serve on the city council.

I've been a stay at home mom for the last 15 years. Volunteering in the community has always been a priority in my life.  I enjoy every opportunity to serve whether its helping in classrooms, serving on the PTA, serving on the school community council, coaching sports teams, developing and running the kindness club at Mt Loafer, or organizing and running the day shelter during our fire. I would love to add serving on the city council to this list.

I was raised in the fishing community of Kodiak, AK.  I grew up swimming in salmon streams, playing in the freezing cold ocean, and living the Alaskan experience.  I have commercially fished and worked in a fish cannery.  I feel safe saying I have gutted more salmon in a day then anyone else in Elk Ridge.  (Not a very useful skill here).   It was a wonderful place to grow up and I learned invaluable lessons from my experiences there.

The skills I learned while attending school at BYU are much more useful in Elk Ridge.   I majored in Business Management - Financial Services with an emphasis in Real Estate.  My husband has his Masters in Accounting and is a CPA.  Date night does sometimes involve excel spreadsheets.  That love for analyzing numbers and reports will help me better serve my community.

After BYU we were blessed to move to San Antonio, Texas for seven years.  We loved raising our young family in that amazing city.   In 2015 we decided it was time to move back closer to family and that brought us to Elk Ridge.  We enjoy raising our 6 children here.

I can't wait to get to know more in my community.  Please stay tuned for upcoming events where we can visit in person.
